Darius Bonton, P.E.
Darius is a 2002 graduate of Southern University's College of Engineering. Upon graduation, Darius worked at Northrup Grumman Ship Systems in Avondale, LA as a structural engineer. There he obtained secret security clearance and performed structural analysis on primary and secondary ship structures exposed to underwater explosions. Following his tenure with Northrup Grumman, Darius relocated to Baton Rouge and joined Buchart Horn where he worked as a project manager on a variety of transportation, storm water and environmental projects. Prior to founding Bonton Associates, Darius worked with Providence Engineering and Environmental where he managed several large scale transportation planning and environmental studies.
Darius has worked with many of the public agencies throughout Louisiana, including the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Federal Highway Administration (Louisiana Division), Environmental Protection Agency (Region 6), Army Corps of Engineers (New Orleans District), New Orleans Regional Planning Commission, Capital Regional Planning Commission, South Central Planning and Development Commission, Northwest Louisiana Council of Governments, East Baton Rouge Parish, St.Tammany Parish, among others.
